Scottie Barnes helped off floor after suffering injury (0:51)

Scottie Barnes fell to the ground in pain after being hit on his foot by Joel Embiid. (0:51)

8:50 PM ET

Barnes left the game in the fourth quarter with a left ankle injury and the Raptors lost to the 76ers 131-11.

Raptors coach Nick Nurse said that Barnes ankle X-rays came back negative, but that further testing would be done on Sunday. He gave the same report on Young, who left the game in the second quarter with a thumb injury.

Barnes has been playing great this season, Raptors forward Pascal Siakam said. He was excited about the playoffs and wanted to play.

We will see. We hope to have him next game. It is difficult to see him go down. I know that it is hard for him, because he wanted to be with us.

Barnes was in the lane playing defense when the 76ers star stepped on his foot. Barnes immediately went down in a heap and grabbed at his left foot, which was in pain, and remained down for several minutes while being attended to by Toronto's training staff. He was helped to the Toronto locker room without being able to put any weight on his left foot.

Barnes was ruled out for the game. In his first career playoff game, he had 15 points, 10 rebound and eight assists.

Nurse said that Barnes played well before his injury in his first NBA playoff game. I thought he was making good plays. Would have liked him to get a few more attempts at the rim. He put up 15 and I thought he was cutting well and made some nice passes. He looked like he belonged out there. I thought he looked like he belonged out there in his first playoff game, against a really good team.

Barnes, the fourth pick in last year's draft, has been terrific in his debut season and was neck-and-neck with Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley forRookie of the Year honors all season long. Barnes averaged 15.3 points, 7.5 rebound and 3.5 assists for Toronto during the regular season.

Young left the game in the second quarter with a thumb injury and was ruled out for the rest of the night.

Young, who was acquired at the NBA's trade deadline by Toronto in a deal with the San Antonio Spurs, finished with one rebound in six minutes and missed his only shot in his return to Philadelphia, where he began his career after being drafted 12th overall in 2007.

Barnes and Young were injured in the first game. The Raptors allowed the 76ers to shoot over 50% from 3-point range. Toronto was outrebounded 39-36, including 10-7 on offensive boards, and forced only four Philadelphia turnovers.

Nurse was quick to praise the 76ers, saying they were the more physical team and outplayed the Raptors on Saturday, but he also said he thought more calls should have been made against Embiid, who went to the free throw line 11 times.

Nurse said they had a couple of times where they beat him.

If you beat him to the spot and he runs over, it is a foul. I thought he threw a few punches. He was called for one. Okay. We are going to stand in there. If we are legal defensively, then we need to have them called or we don't have a chance. If they let him run you over and over again, nobody can guard him.

We are going to stand in there and see if we can beat them to the spot calls.
