Staples Visa Gift Card Deal

There are Visa and Mastercard gift cards for sale. The fee to purchase these can be as high as $62.95 depending on the value.

Today is the last day of this deal.

The Offer

  • $5 off the fee when you buy a $200 Visa® Gift Card

Key Terms

  • Valid 4/10/22 – 4/16/22.
  • The Visa Gift Card is issued by MetaBank
  • Limit 5 per customer.

Maximizing This Deal

There is a limit of 5 customers. Chase Ink Plus, Ink Cash, and Amex SimplyCash Plus will all give you 5X/5% back on your purchases. I assume you may be able to visit multiple stores and/or ask to do multiple transactions despite the terms.

Liquidating Visa Gift Card

The Visa gift card can be used with a pin. The last four digits of the card number are the PIN number. You can use my previous strategy for normal spending.

Conclusion

It’s nice to see Staples bring back this offer, as many 5X sources have been drying up lately. Most people probably prefer Visa gift cards, so this is your opportunity to fill up your Ultimate Rewards accounts. This isn’t as good as the fee free sales but paying $1.95 for 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points (worth $15) is still a good deal.  It is good to see the 5X limit happening more and more often too.
