Wonder Twins Casting, Activate

With talk about the future of DC films on the tip of everyone's tongue, one of the smaller movies just took a giant leap forward. The upcoming Wonder Twins movie will feature the casts of KJ Apa and Isabel May.

Adam Sztykiel, one of the writers on Black Adam, was hired to write and direct a Wonder Twins movie. Sztykiel has his stars now that things have progressed. The Wonder Twins appeared on The All-New Super Friends Hour. They are alien siblings who touch hands and shout Wonder Twin powers, to which they respond by turning into animals and water. The biggest thing the characters have done to date is the live-action movie.

He is best known for playing Archie on the show. He has the ability to take a goofy comic book character and make him into something more. May has appeared as Veronica Duncan on Young Sheldon, but recently got a bigger role on the show where she co-stars with Faith Hill.

It seems like Sztykiel has two actors with growing star power, but that's only half the battle. Can the Wonder Twins, DC characters that are rarely in the same conversations as their brooding, heroic counterparts, add a spark to a cinematic universe that is still a little up in the air?
