The first-ever all-civilian mission to the International Space Station is well underway, and several days into the extremely expensive journey, the group of space tourists are already hankering to go even further.

During a Wednesday event at NASA's Space Center in Houston, a group of kids asked the space tourists if a private lunar mission is already in the works, and crew member Larry Connor replied, "If a private lunar mission is already in the works."

"Universally, it's a resounding yes, so please let the folks at NASA know that the crew is up to the challenge," said Connor, a real estate mogul from Ohio.

Big Ticket

While space tourism has made strides in recent years, traveling all the way to the Moon is a much larger undertaking.

It could end up costing more than the tickets to the International Space Station. The crew members of the most recent trip spent an estimated $55 million.

We don't have a suitable spaceship yet, but that may change soon, because of the chance to test out the massive Starship spaceship from SpaceX.

Spending a holiday on the Moon is an exciting prospect. Traveling to space is still very expensive, and that is just to get off the Earth's surface.

The sights here are amazing.

The first all-private mission to the space station has been successfully launched.
