Microsoft’s monolithic Xbox Series X is still challenging to get a hold of.

The Xbox Series X is sometimes a little easier to buy than the PS 5, but that doesn't mean it's a simple endeavor. The good news is that Best Buy has a restock of the flagship Xbox Series X consoles for its usual price. The good news is that this round of inventory is only for subscribers of Best Buy's Totaltech, which costs $199.99 per year.

It's a steep added cost if you're looking for a new Xbox, though Totaltech does offer extra tech support, installation services, and extended product protection, in addition to paying your way toward the front of the line. You have better odds if you are a Totaltech subscriber.

If you want to get a place in line for this restock, you must log into your account ahead of time and click the Add to Cart button. When your turn approaches, you may be asked to verify your account, and then you will be presented with nearby stores that have inventory in stock. Sometimes the stock comes online in waves, so be sure to keep trying. Once the listing changes to a grayed-out Sold Out button, it's over.

Regardless of whether you have good fortune or not, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter. We look for the latest deals and deliver them to you twice a week.

Newegg has made a number of bundles available on its site for people who don't want to pay the Totaltech tax.

Microsoft's flagship console is the Xbox Series X. The Series S is aimed at smooth 1440p performance and takes a disc-less approach, while the Series X is focused on fast 4K.
