Trump says he probably won't return to Twitter if Elon Musk buys the platform and reinstates his account

If Musk bought the platform, Donald Trump would probably not return to it.

Musk offered to buy the company in a deal that values it at $43 billion.

During an interview with Americano Media, Trump was asked if he would return to the platform if Musk gave him his account back.

We are doing a big platform right now so I probably wouldn't be interested. They have got rid of a lot of their good voices on the social networking site.

Now it is boring and friends of mine tell me that it is not the same place as before.

After the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, the platform permanently barred Trump from using it.

Insider's Matthew Loh reported that conservative figures were hoping that Musk would restore Trump's account after buying a 9.2% stake in the company.

When asked about his bid to buy all of the micro-messaging service, Musk said it was important for there to be an inclusive arena for free speech.

Trump launched his own social-media platform, called Truth Social, which was supposed to be a free-speech alternative to platforms like Facebook.

The launch has been slow and poorly executed. The Washington Post reported that Trump was angry.
