Stephen Curry, who has not played since March 16 because of a left foot strain, participated in the team's scrimmage Thursday.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he and Curry are optimistic that the guard will be available for the first game of the playoffs. Curry's status will be reexamined Friday before a final decision is made.
Curry played three six-minute stretches.
Curry is expected to play with a minutes restriction when he returns, but the coach is not sure what that limit will look like yet.
Kerr said that his conditioning looks good. You have to shake off the effects of an absence. Just going to take it a day at a time and see how it goes.
