According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Jarrett Allen is considering a return for the play-in game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Allen only sees himself as 50-50 for the contest, according to Adrian.
The All-Star hasn't played since March 6 because of a fractured finger. He is still experiencing a significant level of pain.
He averaged more than 15 points and 10 boards in 56 appearances in the first season of his five-year, $100 million extension.
After being one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, the Cavs suffered a lot on that end of the floor. His absence was felt in a loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday as the Nets scored 50 points in the paint.
It would be a boost for Cleveland if Allen lined up alongside Evan Mobley.
The Hawks shot 52.1 percent from the field in their 132-103 demolition of the Charlotte Hornets. Slowing down a unit that finished with the second-best offensive rating will be difficult.
The fact that Allen was listed as questionable would seem to indicate that he is not back to full strength. If that is the case, then he may not be the same imposing presence that he was earlier this year.
