A good sign as to whether there is free speech is, is someone you don’t like allowed to say something you don’t like? If that is the case, we have free speech. It’s damn annoying when someone you don’t like says something you don’t like. That is the sign of a healthy, functioning free speech situation.

Musk said that he wanted to fill the need for an inclusive arena of free speech and that he was interested in open-sourced the Twitter algorithm. Musk said that he wanted to shut downspam and scam bots, as well as integrate an edit button to his tweets.

When asked about the potential for abuse of an edit button, the CEO of the company appeared uncomfortable and suggested that all retweets and likes will be removed from an edited account to prevent people from pulling a bait-and-switch. He said he has a plan if his takeover of the social networking site fails.

While many of his fans are begging Musk to make it happen, the only American President to be banned from the social networking site told Americano Media that he has no interest in returning. Some of his favorite conservative voices have been silenced by his use of the words "good" and "conservative" on the social networking site.

The riots at the US Capitol caused Trump to be permanently banned from the social media platform. The clouds parted, the sun shone a little brighter, and the dumpster fire of social media was reduced to a more manageable trashcan fire. The company told the Daily Mail that they have no plans to bring Trump's account back.

Truth Social is still the future according to Trump. Trump doesn't use Truth either, which has disappointed fans who have actually managed to log in to the platform. Considering the fact that Truth's moderation policies are more strict than those of Twitter, it's probably for the best.
