The Packers have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with Sammy Watkins.
It is believed that the deal could be worth up to $4 million.
Green Bay hosted the free agent on Thursday, and the two sides quickly came to an agreement.
Watkins played 13 games for the Baltimore Ravens last season, totaling 27 catches for 394 yards and one touchdown.
He had 1,613 receiving yards and eight touchdown in his previous three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Watkins was a big part of the Chiefs run to the Super Bowl, totaling 288 receiving yards in the three games.
He can still be a quality contributor on a team that is desperate for receiving help, seven years removed from his lone 1,000-yard season with the Buffalo Bills.
After dealing All-Pro Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Packers were left without many proven options on their depth chart.
The only returning players with more than 100 receiving yards last season were Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, while the only rookies with more than four catches was Amari Rodgers.
The team still needed more experience in the passing attack even if they used one of their first-round picks on a wideout.
Watkins is an option for Rodgers as he tries to keep Green Bay in contention.
