Minnesota Timberwolves' Patrick Beverley fined $30K for 'egregious use of profanity'

The NBA fined Patrick Beverley $30,000 for his inappropriate statements after Tuesday's play-in victory, including the use of profanity.

During a postgame news conference and on a social media post after the victory over the Clippers, he made his comments to the media.

After Tuesday's game, Beverley told reporters that they were going to the playoffs. I told y'all.

After four seasons with the Clippers, Beverley predicted that the Wolves would make the playoffs when he arrived in Minnesota.

When asked what he told his teammates after the victory, he said to take them ass home.

After the win, he posted a video to the social media site that included profanity.

The NBA fined him $25,000 for improper conduct toward a game official. He was thrown out of the game on Sunday for complaining about calls and non-calls and for receiving two technical fouls.

The Wolves will play at Memphis on Saturday in the first game of their first-round series.
