Tiger Woods will play in the JP McManus Pro-Am in Ireland on July 4-5 after competing in the Masters a week ago.

The pro-am will be played 10 days before the start of the 150th Open at St. Andrews in Scotland. After his final round at Augusta National, Woods committed to play in The Open.

He wasn't sure if he would play in the U.S. Open at The Country Club in June or the PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Oklahoma.

Woods told Sky Sports on Sunday that it would be just the big events. I'm looking forward to St. Andrew. That is something that is very close to my heart. I have won two Opens there. It is the home of golf. It is my favorite golf course in the world and I will be there for it. I don't know anything in between.

After making his first start in 17 months at the Masters, Tiger Woods finished 47th. He made the cut after posting scores of 1-under 71 and 2-over 74 in the first two rounds but closed with consecutive rounds of 6-over 78. It was the worst round of the five-time Masters champion.

The pro-am event in Ireland is hosted by JP McManus, an Irish racehorse owner and former shareholder of Manchester United. Woods has appeared at the event four times. The anticipated field includes several players, such as Jon Rahm,Dustin Johnson, and Bryson DeChambeau.

Tiger has been a great friend and avid supporter of the pro-am for a long time and we are absolutely thrilled he has committed to play once again in the tournament.
