Ukraine are bidding to reach their second men's World Cup finals

The World Cup play-off semi-final between Scotland and Ukraine will be played on 1 June, with the winner playing Wales in the final four days later.

The semi was supposed to be played on 24 March, but Ukraine asked for it to be postponed because of the invasion of Russia.

Wales beat Austria to get to the final.

England, Iran, and the USA will face off in the World Cup later this year.

The tournament is held from November to December.

The Nations League Group B1 matches will be altered as a result of the new arrangements for the World Cup play-offs.

The away games with the Republic of Ireland and Armenia will go ahead as planned, despite the fact that Scotland's opener has been pushed back four days to 8 June.

On either side of a home game against the Republic of Ireland, the side will face Ukraine in the Nations League.

Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell said that it will be great to be able to welcome to Ukraine.

There will be two sets of competitive players who are committed to taking another step closer to World Cup qualification, but we understand and appreciate the wider context in which the match will take place.

We have been consistent throughout that postponing the original tie was the right thing to do and we look forward to hosting Ukraine in June.
