According to several reports, Queen Elizabeth is not expected to attend Easter mass at Windsor Castle on Sunday, the first time she will miss it since 1970.

Buckingham Palace said members of the royal family would be in attendance at the mass, despite the queen not being able to attend.

The queen dropped out of the Maundy service at Windsor Castle last week, and Prince Charles and Camilla will take her place.

The queen, who contracted Covid-19 in February, met with healthcare workers virtually and said that one was very tired and exhausted.

Queen Elizabeth made her first public appearance in more than five months last week during a ceremony to honor her late husband Prince Philip. She was hospitalized in October and was advised to rest for several weeks. Her 70th year on the throne will be celebrated in June.
