The White House is considering sending an official from the Biden administration to meet with Zelenskyy, according to two unnamed US officials.
The New York Times said that the potential visit was a show of support in other war zones.
The US would join the United Kingdom and Austria in visiting the war-torn country if the meeting happens.
For safety and security reasons, the details of the visit, including the date, will not be made public.
The meeting will likely be a cabinet member, such as Secretary of State Antony Blinken or Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, according to the outlet.
Jake Sullivan, the US national security advisor, told NBC's "Meet the Press" on Monday that President Biden was not going to visit.
Biden approved sending another $800 million to Ukraine.
The White House, the Department of Defense, and the State Department did not respond to the request for comment.
