Evander Kane (r.)

The pettiness that we get to witness on a public scale is the best part of sports.

Ryan Hartman wasn't fined by the NHL for unsportsmanlike conduct after he flipped off Evander Kane during a scrum on the ice. Kane was fighting off five opposing players as the refs got in the middle of the skirmish.

Kane has been in trouble with the law many times throughout his career. The left wing of the NHL was suspended for 21 games for breaking protocols and faking a vaccine card. He was sued by a Vegas casino for walking out on a half million dollars worth of debt after being investigated for gambling on his own league and throwing games. He was accused of assault by five people in 2016 and he and his ex- wife both filed restraining orders against each other because of domestic abuse. There is a more detailed background on his legal troubles.

The pettiness is back. Anna Kane, the ex-wife of Hartman, came into the picture yesterday after he yelled at Kane on the ice. Anna sent Hartman $200 to help pay off the unsportsmanlike conduct fine, after she posted a picture of a payment on the app.
