Allyson Felix holds the USA flag
Allyson Felix is a seven-time Olympic champion

The most decorated female track and field Olympian of all time will retire at the end of the season.

The American has won 13 world titles and 11 Olympic medals.

She competed in her final Olympics in Tokyo.

Felix said that as a little girl she never imagined she would have a career like this.

I have a lot of gratitude for the sport that has changed my life. For the first time in my life, I am not sure if I have anything left to give.

I want to say goodbye and thank you to the sport and people who have helped shape me, with one last run.

This season is about joy, not time on the clock. If you see me on the track this year, I want to give you a memory and an appreciation.

Felix won four golds in the 4x400m relay, two in the 4x100m relay, and one in the 200m.

Camryn was born by emergency Caesarean at 32 weeks after Felix discovered she had pre-eclampsia, which could have killed her and her daughter.

She became the most successful athlete in World Championships history when she won two relay golds.

She took on Nike over maternity pay. She wrote in the New York Times that Nike wanted to pay her 70% less after she became a mother, and three months later, the brand changed their stance.

Felix worked to highlight the issue of maternal mortality among black women.

I'm running for women this season. I want a better future for my daughter. She stated in her retirement statement that she was running for you.

I will be sharing a series of announcements that I hope will make the world better for women.

Here is my final season.
