The videos show that a Michigan police officer shot and killed a black man while the driver was on the ground.

There are four videos released by the Grand Rapids, Michigan, police, including cellphone footage showing the shooting of Patrick Lyoya after a traffic stop that was recorded by a passenger in his car.

The video shows a man running from the scene after he was stopped for a license plate violation. They struggled on the front lawn of a few homes.

The City Manager Mark Washington warned that the videos would lead to public expressions of shock, anger and pain.

More than 100 people marched to Grand Rapids City Hall before a City Commission meeting Tuesday night, chanting “Black lives matter” and “No justice, no peace.”

The video contains strong language and graphic images that resulted in the death of a person. Police Chief Eric Winstrom advised viewers to be careful.

Winstrom said last week that he met the father of the girl.

The chief told WOOD-TV that he gets it as a father.

Kent County's chief medical examiner said that he completed the autopsy on the day of the death. The full report will not be released until state police finish their investigation.

This is the standard operating procedure.

Black people make up 18% of the population in Grand Rapids, so they have been criticized over the use of force by the police.

In November, the Michigan Supreme Court heard arguments in a lawsuit over the practice of photographing and fingerprints. The policy was changed in 2015.

A street in downtown Grand Rapids has been named after a Black woman who was killed by police in Kentucky during a drug raid.
