Cuba Gooding Jr. pleaded guilty to forcibly touching a woman at a New York nightclub.

The Oscar-winning actor was arrested in the case three years ago and had several delays as his lawyers sought to get charges reduced or dismissed.

Gooding was accused of violating three different women at different night spots in Manhattan.

He told the judge that he kissed the waitress on her lips without her consent.

The plea deal calls for no jail time for Gooding. He can plead guilty to a lesser violation of harassment if he continues counseling for six months.

The 29-year-old woman told police that Gooding squeezed her breast without her consent at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge.

He was charged in two more cases after more women came forward to accuse him of abuse. He was charged with pinching a server's buttocks after making a sexually suggestive remark to her, and forcibly touching a woman at the LAVO nightclub.

Gooding denied all allegations of wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to six counts. His lawyers have argued that overzealous prosecutors are trying to turn commonplace gestures into crimes.

If the Gooding case went to trial, prosecutors could have called two more women to testify about their allegations that Gooding also violated them. Nineteen other accusers, whose claims did not result in criminal charges, were to be called as witnesses.

Gooding is accused in a lawsuit of raping a woman in New York City. The actor retained a lawyer and is fighting the allegations after a judge issued a default judgment.
