There are many reasons why you might want to remove your account from Steam. Maybe you want to move on from your game collection. Maybe you are trying to get rid of accounts that have your personal information.
There is a way to uninstall your account. Keep in mind that once you uninstall your account, there is no turning back.
There is no way to recover games you have purchased in your Steam account. Even if you have already installed the game, it will be impossible if it requires a Steam account. All of the money in your Steam wallet will be erased as well.
You should consider all of your options before you decide to remove your account from Steam.
1. You can launch your web browser on your Mac or PC by going to the store at steampowered.com/account. Log into your account if prompted.
2. Click on the button if you want to uninstall my steam account.
3. A new page will open up after you click the button. Proceed to account deletion if you want to.
4. The next window should be the account deletion request. Valve can verify that you are actually the owner of the account, and not a hacker.
5. Click Send after you fill out all of the required information.
After you submit your account deletion request, a member from Steam Support will contact you to discuss the next steps in the process.
If you change your mind after 30 days, your account will remain active but you won't be able to make purchases. On the 30th day, you will receive an email telling you that the account will be deleted.
Your account will be terminated on the 31st.
