I was hoping that I had packed everything I needed for the trip. There were a few things I regretted not bringing. I wish I had brought warmer clothes. Europe in the fall can be pretty cold, so I wore a coat. I wish I had brought a bigger selection of warmer clothes and accessories to wear on the outdoor areas of the ship that were affected by the wind. A woolly hat and gloves would not have been out of place. It would have been smart to have a bottle on board. It was free to order water at the buffet restaurant on the Queen Elizabeth ship. I was charged a fee if I wanted to order a bottle of water from the bar or room. I could have had a refill when I ate at the buffet if I had brought a water bottle. I didn't purchase seasickness tablets. Since I had never been on a cruise before, I was not sure if seasickness would be an issue for me. I purchased anti-nausea travel sickness wristbands from Amazon after reading an article that recommended them. The wristbands work by pressing the acupoints with plastic balls to achieve balance, which makes you feel comfortable, according to the Amazon page. I felt sick even when I wore the wristbands. I wish I had packed some other options, such as seasickness tablets or motion-sickness patches. I will bring more cash when I go on a cruise. It made for a great icebreaker when chatting at dinner because most guests followed the themes. At the end of the day, I brought my e-reader with me. Even though I was a solo traveler, I didn't have a lot of time to myself on the cruise. I chatted with people at all times, whether it was at dinner or on an excursion. Sometimes I wanted to relax without having to make small talk. Having a book to read on my e-reader or notebook made for an excellent prop, as it kept me busy if I felt too tired to talk.
