Wolf Trap Animal Rescue received almost $6,500 from donors after the death of Haskins, according to USA Today.

The influx was roughly 430 percent of the typical donation intake.

He had been in South Florida to work out with some of his Pittsburgh STEELERS teammates.

Fans began to encourage donations to Wolf Trap Animal Rescue after his death.

As a player for the Washington Commanders, Haskins drew attention to the nonprofit as part of the NFL's wider campaign. The name of the animal shelter was displayed on his cleats.
