Thirty travel agents from the UK and Ireland went on an educational trip to the island.

The first academy visit was organised by the tourism authority and focused on gastronomy, adventure, history and luxury.

The agents had the chance to attend workshops on each theme from their base at the five-star Marriott Hotel and Spa.

MTA UK and Ireland hosted their first academy for agents, which showcased some of the Mediterranean archipelago's key selling points and new product offerings.

The importance of the trade has continued to strengthen, and the mega fam was a great opportunity to educate agents and encourage them to experience for themselves just some of our gastronomic, adventurous, historic and luxurious experiences, reinforcing what an ideal destination choice the Maltese Islands are for UK.
