After mooring in Norway for more than six weeks, the $85 million superyacht linked to a Russian billionaire is on the move again.

The tracker shows that the Ragnar left the Norwegian port of Narvik on March 30 and is heading for the island of Malta. According to Marine Traffic, the yacht was located off the west coast of Norway.

According to SuperYacht Fan, the owner of the Ragnar is a former KGB agent named Vladimir Strzhalkovsky. Strzhalkovsky isn't on the Western sanctions lists that followed Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Local suppliers refused to refuel the vessel or do business with Strzhalkovsky when it docked at Narvik on February 15.

Refueling wasn't the only problem the Ragnar faced. The captain of the yacht told The Wall Street Journal that the crew had to catch and barbecue fish because local businesses wouldn't serve them.

According to Marine Traffic, the destination port for Ragnar is a small fishing village in southeast Malta.

The European Union has imposed sanctions on wealthy Russians. The country has close relations with the EU and has incorporated some of the bloc's sanctions into its own laws.

Malta is a member of the EU. If the EU decides to sanction Strzhalkovsky, the Ragnar could be seized by Maltese authorities.

A total of 30 guests and crew can be accommodated on the yacht, which features a pool, spa, jacuzzi, and helicopter pad.

While Strzhalkovsky and his yacht are not subject to sanctions, Russian tycoons who have been blacklisted have fled to places such as the Maldives and the United Arab Emirates, which do not have treaties with the US and other Western nations.

According to The Guardian, a Norwegian government official said that if an EU directive supported the action, Ragnar could be held.
