Plex will end podcast support on Friday

The feature that was added in the last year will end on Friday. The dedicated Web Shows section is being removed, but most of the content will still appear in the app.

The company doesn't say why it's ending the support, only that it's no longer worth the time. You can access these features until Friday, April 15th, 2022, when they will no longer be available.

Instructions for users to download their podcasts in OPML are provided by Plex. You have to be quick.

The company's goal of being a one-stop shop for all your streaming media consumption is at odds with the removal of podcasts from Plex. The forums are rife with unaddressed complaints about buggy performance, the same as we saw at launch, and Plex's podcasts support hasn't evolved much since it was first introduced.
