As superstar Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry gets into the swing of the NBA's 2019-20 season, Under Armour has readied his newest signature silhouette: the Under Armour Curry 7, set to debut in a "UNDRTD" colorway. A low-top shoe that combines deeply personal detailing with the best performance tech Under Armour has to offer, designer Leon Gu ensured that the Curry 7 could match Chef Curry's innovative style of play by bringing multiple components to the table.

First up is the cushioning system. Using UA's proprietary HOVR directly under the foot and Micro G foam technologies toward the floor - separated with a flexible plate - it's both soft and responsive, without sacrificing too much of one trait in favor of the other. The modified herringbone pattern on the outsole complements the cushion by using three different layers of radial traction for wide-reaching grip. Meanwhile, the upper uses layered mesh/foam to ensure a balance of lightweight breathability and substantial support. The forefoot is constructed of a lightweight textile, the midfoot is reinforced with a translucent TPU skin, and the collar/heel provide foam cushioning for a comfortable fit.

There's even a nod to Chef Curry's family on the heel's pull tab, thanks to three characters that represent his children: a wolf for son Canon, a unicorn for daughter Riley, and a butterfly for daughter Ryan. All of these features combine to make what may be UA's most technologically advanced basketball shoe yet. Needless to say, the guard and designer are both excited about its possibilities.

When asked about the Curry 7, Steph stated "The assist from the Curry 7 to help me be more explosive, more powerful and to have a quicker reaction time off of the ground is important as I look ahead to the new season, and is intuitive enough to help any basketball player looking for best-in-class responsiveness and stability from their footwear."

Gu chimed in as well, mentioning "We're proud of how the Curry signature footwear line has evolved and believe the Curry 7 will be a fan favorite. Each colorway balances on-trend aesthetics with performance innovations based around Stephen's suggestions for improved on-court play."

The UA Curry 7 will debut in the "UNDRTD" colorway via UA.com on November 1st. The retail price is set at $140 USD. More makeups will roll out over the course of the season, with special releases planned for the Warriors' Christmas Day games and more.
