The Cold War space race between the United States and the Soviet Union pushed both countries to a new planetary frontier: Mars.

The third season of the alternate space history series "For All Mankind" will premiere on June 10, 2022, on Apple TV+. There will be a new episode every Friday through August.

The Red Planet becomes the new front in the space race, not only for the U.S. and the Soviet Union, but also an unexpected new entrant with a lot to prove and even more at stake, according to an Apple TV+ synopsis.

The first look at the Martian vistas coming this summer is offered in a 40-second video released on Monday.

When united behind a common goal, there is nothing we can't achieve, says a female voice in the video. The astronauts are only seen from behind as they are dressed in two different styles of spacesuits.

The words "Mars 1995" appear on the screen in a similar way to NASA's logo.

The final few seconds of the second season show the focus changing from Earth and the moon to Mars. Prior to that, "For All Mankind" was set in the framework of NASA's Apollo and space shuttle programs and how they differed from our own reality as a result of the Soviet Union.

The first two seasons of For All Mankind are available to stream on Apple TV+. USA Today and Rolling Stone both named the second season of For All Mankind the best show on television in 2021, with the latter writing that it was the best stretch of TV of the year.
