A video shared by the defense ministry of Ukraine shows a soldier dismantling a Russian military drone.

A soldier can be seen in the video taking apart the Orlan-10 drone that the ministry said crashed on Ukrainian soil.

Insider couldn't independently verify when or where the footage was taken.

In the video, the soldier points out that the camera on the drone is a generic handheld Canon DSLR that has its main navigation buttonglued down to make sure it doesn't accidentally switch mode.

The soldier pointed out that the camera had been secured with a strip of tape.

The soldier points out that the cap on the drone's fuel tank appeared to have been made with a plastic water bottle.

There was evidence that the drone had been covered in duct tape.

This is legit. The soldier is joking and saying that they even thought of sending the technology to Western partners.

The Orlan 10 costs between five and seven million rubles per unit, according to a military spokesman.

The Orlan 10 usually has a thermovision camera, photo camera, video camera, radio transmitter, and a retransmitter.

The Orlan 10 drones were shot down by the Ukrainians.

On April 8, the 24th brigade of Ukraine posted an image of an Orlan drone to Facebook which appeared to have a part of a water bottle as its primary fuel storage unit.

Russia's assault on Ukraine has slowed in recent weeks, with Ukraine warning that Russian forces may be preparing for a new assault on the eastern Donbas region.

President Zelenskyy told the German newspaper that the worst was yet to come.

The world has not seen a big war like this in hundreds of years.
