At the weekend, Musk shared various thoughts and ideas on his vision for the future of the service.
Having recently become the biggest shareholder in the company, Musk will be pushing for some of his ideas to become a reality.
One suggestion was quickly supported by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. Since no one shows up anyway, it's an idea to convert San Francisco's headquarters into a homeless shelter. The idea was the subject of a Musk poll, which had over two million respondents. It has since been deleted.
Bezos responded to Musk's suggestion that at the very least a part of the building could be converted into a shelter.

Musk said he would prefer it if there were no ads, but he didn't say how the company would cover it.
In one of his less controversial musings, Musk suggested to his 81 million followers that anyone who signs up for the $3-a-month tier of the service should be given an authenticity mark. The mark should be different from the checkmark given to public figures.
The billionaire entrepreneur said that the edit button was close to what he wanted, but that the feature was not used very much. He hasn't explained how he would implement a more useful edit function, but he will be sharing some ideas soon.
The boss of the two companies launched a poll asking if the name of the social media network should be removed.

When Musk learned last week that he had been offered a seat on the board, he said he was looking forward to working with the team to make improvements to the site.
