Top Football Tweets: Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola embrace
A lot of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea fans don't appreciate the apparent cordiality between Manchester City and Liverpool

Manchester City andLiverpool played out a thrilling draw on Sunday, but it was too friendly for some.

The top two teams in the league met on the weekend in what was supposed to be a potential title decider, but they walked away empty-handed. Some fans of Manchester United and other teams prefer their rivalries to be more feisty.

This week's top football tweets has all that and more.

1. 'Our rivalry was better than your rivalry'

Jamie Carragher ruffled a few feathers by claiming that this is the best rivalry we have ever seen in English football.

That comment inspired armies of Generation X and late-millennial football fans to log on to the social networking site and tell everyone how much better the Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho rivalries were. There was a resemblance to Bob Paisley v Brian Clough in the seventies.

It seems like the friendliest rivalry we have ever witnessed in English football is between the two men. What you will do is make of that.

2. We hope that fast food isn't for Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne gave us an insight into his match-day routine. It would be hard to imagine that the player has given the players's nutrition regime the go-ahead.

3. Priorities

We hope the results go his way.

4. Smash-and-grab win for Everton

The police are looking into an alleged assault on a Manchester United fan after the game at Goodison Park.

A new meme has been born.

5. Son shines again

Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, and Dejan Kulusevski are some of the people that Antonio Conte has worked with.

At the moment, Spurs are scoring for fun. Son has six goals in his last three games after scoring a hat-trick against Villa.

6. X-Gunners

The race for fourth spot went to Spurs when they lost at home to Brighton on Saturday. It was a rare occasion when they were on the right side of the expected goals and actual goals disparity.

7. Game's gone

In France, Paris St-Germain extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 with a 6-1 win against Clermont, as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar both scored hat-tricks.

Three of those goals were scored by Lionel Messi. We will never get used to seeing him in the same team as Ramos.

8. Lively

The Swedish season kicked off this month and it was a lively start for AIK Fotboll.

9. Room in the trophy cabinet

This unfortunate tweeter is suffering from extreme buyer's remorse at the moment, so spare a thought for him.
