NBA Playoff Standings 2022: Final Regular-Season Records, Seedings and Bracket

On the final day of the regular season, a single spot in the NBA playoffs changed hands.

The Milwaukee Bucks dropped out of the Eastern Conference's second seed after resting most of their top contributors.

The Boston Celtics moved up one position after their win over Memphis. Boston is the most likely opponent for the Brooklyn Nets.

The Pacers were defeated by Brooklyn in the play-in round. The Nets need to beat Cleveland for the second time in a week to set up a game against the Celtics.

The Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz picked up victories on Sunday to ensure the top 10 in the Western Conference did not change.

Klay Thompson scored 40 points as Golden State remained in the third seed, while Utah had an easy night against Portland.

The play-in round games are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The first-round series starts on Saturday and Sunday.

The conference is called the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics will face the Nets in the first round. The first play-in game in the East will take place on Tuesday in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn defeated Cleveland last Friday to take over the 7th spot in the East, and they will be difficult to stop in an elimination setting.

The loser of the Brooklyn-Cleveland game will face the winner of the Atlanta-Charlotte game on Friday.

Atlanta and Charlotte will face off in Georgia. The Hawks and Hornets played each other. The last time the two teams met was on March 16.

The Hawks won seven times in their last nine games. The Hornets have a three-game winning streak. There was a road win over the Bulls.

The winner of the play-in contest will play the Miami Heat in the first round. The series is likely to start Sunday because of the change needed for the victor.

Philadelphia and Toronto will play in the playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers will not have Matisse Thybulle for the road games because he doesn't meet Canada's vaccination mandate.

The other first-round playoff game in the East is between Milwaukee and Chicago.

Doncic has at least six days to rest up before the Mavs begin their playoff series with the Jazz.

Utah beat the Portland Trail blazers to stay ahead of the Denver Nuggets. Donovan Mitchell was rested for the game.

The Phoenix Suns are in the top half of the Western Conference.

The winner of the first round game between Golden State and Denver will likely face the Memphis in the conference semifinals.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will play the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.

The loser of that contest will face off against the winner of the New Orleans-San Antonio game on Friday.
