An heir to the Disney fortune who came out as trans recently said they should have done more to speak out against the bill.

Roy P Disney, the great-nephew of Walt Disney and the co- founder of Walt Disney Co, made an appeal to the advocacy group because his child, Charlee, is a proud member.

Four years ago, Charlee Disney said they came out to their family using the pronouns they and them, but this is the first time the family has addressed their gender orientation in public.

The appeal was signed by Roy P Disney and his family.

The company's chief executive, Bob Chapek, initially refused to stand against Florida's gay law.

The company will donate $5 million to the Human Rights Campaign after an employee revolt.

The company's move earned the ire of Florida governor Ron DeSantis who threatened to withdraw the company's self-governing privileges in the state.

The Disney family decided to match $500,000 of donations to HRC in order to demonstrate their commitment after the Disney Co refused to take a stand.

She was quoted as saying that she loves her trans child no matter what.

I don't do much to help. I do not call senators or take action. Charlee Disney is a 30-year-old high school biology and environmental science teacher.

They said that they had few openly gay role models.

I didn't have any trans or nonbinary role models. I felt like there was something wrong with me because I didn't see myself reflected in anyone.

They said that the Florida law only makes things worse for the children who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer.

Is it possible to put something like this law on top of that? They can't learn about their history at school, play sports or use the bathroom they want to use, Charlee Disney said.
