Russian soldiers talked about killing and raping civilians, according to Ukrainian officials.
The audio clips were obtained and published by CNN and include orders to kill civilians and the discussion of a 16-year-old being raped by Russian forces. Ukrainian officials said the recordings were between Russian soldiers and their commanders.
I am not sure if it was a car or a military vehicle that drove by. One soldier said over the radio that there were two people coming out of the grove.
A second person said to kill them all.
The original soldier started to protest, saying the village is not a military base. If there are civilians, kill them all.
The Kremlin has denied that Russia is targeting civilians. International leaders want Russia and its President to be investigated for possible war crimes.
The calls grew louder after it was revealed that Russian forces had committed atrocities against liberated Ukrainian towns, including the murder and rape of civilians. A woman from the village of Shevchenkove claims that her husband was killed and raped by Russian forces.
A Russian soldier in a tank battalion told a woman over the radio that three tankers had raped a 16-year-old girl.
The woman asked if the tanker was ours.
The woman said "Fuck" after the soldier responded.
There was a mass grave discovered near a church in the town of Bucha after Russian forces retreated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that many Ukrainians wonder how many Buchas there are.
Zelenskyy said that some towns were destroyed completely. I don't know what we will find there.
