The cast of Kingdom Hearts III, sitting on a rooftop above a city.

The 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise was marked by the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 by the developer. The new game marks the start of the franchise's new Lost Master series, which picks up where Kingdom Hearts 3 left off: Sora is in a modern day Tokyo-alike called the Quadratum. Donald and Goofy are looking for Sora, or at least someone who can help find their friend.

This would be the part where we would ask you what Disney movies would make for a good world in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. We would be interested in hearing your suggestions, but I think we could expect worlds based on Raya and Soul. Sora and her friends have only been to the world of Disney movies. It would be nice for some of Disney's recent small screen efforts to get some love.

The network has had a solid streak of animated series for a few years that have vibrant, fun worlds which could be pretty compelling and fun to experience through an interactive medium. The Owl House and Gravity Falls are both shows that play with themes of friendship, growing up, and fighting to save someone's soul, so I think they are good picks for a Kingdom Hearts game. It would be funny for Sora to beat up Bill Cipher. At the very least, it would be an unexpected twist, and potentially a fun one that opens the door for those who don't know these shows exist.

The Star Wars and MCU series are on Disney+. It would be easy to bring in the respective intellectual property with a show like The Mandalorian or the upcoming Spider-Man cartoon. There is something fun about the idea of Sora hanging out with Ahsoka Tano or Din Djarin, to say nothing of any of the characters from the Skywalker Saga.

Do you think some Disney shows should be celebrated? There are better movies that fit the franchise better. Sora and her friends should be plucked into the world of one of the live-action remakes. Let us know what you think in the comments.
