Alex Jones is facing a new lawsuit in Texas over accusations that he hid millions of dollars in assets after families of Sandy Hook victims began taking him to court.

The families of some of the 20 children and six educators killed in the 2012 massacre in Connecticut have won defamation lawsuits against Jones after he said the shootings never happened. He is going to have trials this year over how much he should pay.

After Alex Jones was sued for claiming the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary was a hoax, he diverted his assets to shell companies owned by his parents, his children and himself, according to the lawsuit.

Alex Jones was found liable for defamation for promulgating false theories about the Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre.

According to the lawsuit, Jones is accused of drawing about $18 million from his company over three years. Jones is accused of claiming a $54 million debt to another company, which the lawsuit says is indirectly or directly owned by Jones.

An attorney for Jones said there was no attempt to hide assets.

The suggestion is ridiculous. We look forward to litigating these issues.

The lawsuit was reported by the American-Statesman.

Lawyers for the Sandy Hook families questioned Jones on the same day the lawsuit was filed. He was ordered to face fines until he appeared for a deposition.
