A 16-year-old Las Vegas high school student was arrested after police said he got violent with a teacher during a discussion about his grades.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said the student was taken into custody and booked for attempted murder, first-degree kidnapping, robbery, sexual assault, and battery with intent to commit sexual assault.

According to police, officers responded to a high school on Thursday after a report of a teacher who was injured. The incident happened at a high school.

When officers arrived at the scene, the teacher was being treated by first responders and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police learned that the incident occurred when the student went into the classroom to discuss his grades.

The suspect attacked the victim and then fled the classroom, where the victim was found by another employee.

The police are looking for more information. The charges the student will face will be concluded by prosecutors.
