Tracking data shows that a $325 million superyacht is on an epic journey across the Pacific Ocean.

The 350-foot Amadea, which is linked to the gold tycoon Suleyman Kerimov, is headed for the Fijian port of Nadi after traversing the Panama Canal and docking at the Mexican port of Manzanillo, according to Marine Traffic.

Forbes says Kerimov is the ninth-richest person in Russia with a wealth of $14.5 billion. He has been blacklisted by the US, EU, and UK over his ties to Putin.

The journey of the Amadea puts it closer to the port of Vladivostok, on Russia's east coast, than it does to any other major Russian port.

Kerimov could not be reached for comment.

Amadea has a dedicated party deck with a spa pool flanked by sunbeds that can be converted into a stage where bands and DJs plug straight into the ship's audio system. The yacht was delivered in Germany.

Some of Russia's richest people have had their private jets and mansions seized because of Western sanctions. Some people have tried to evade sanctions by moving their assets.

The family holding company of Kerimov has reduced its stake in Polyus to 42%.

Amadea is worth $325 million.
