A former federal prosecutor believes that the testimony of the former president to the House committee was incriminating.

Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor, said on Friday that her testimony likely included the revelation that she was present at the White House during the riot and tried to get her father to call off his supporters.

According to former Trump national security advisor, Trump refused.

Several people tried and failed to stop him.

Ivanka tried and failed, so we sent her back into the Oval Office a second time, and she couldn't get her father to stop the attack on the Capitol.

He said that the president was in a war against the United States. That information is very incriminating. If I were prosecuting the case, she would be one of the very early witnesses I would call.

It is not clear what Trump said during her testimony. On Tuesday, the committee chair said she was answering questions.

Thompson told reporters that she was answering questions but not in broad terms.

Five people, including a police officer, died in the Capitol riot. The Southern Poverty Law Center classified the Proud Boys as a hate group.

Despite Democrat Joe Biden's election victory, organizers were encouraged by the former president's calls to protest the results. While members of Congress were meeting inside the Capitol building to certify the results, supporters staged an attempted coup.
