It could go a long way to deciding the destination of the title when Manchester City andLiverpool meet on Sunday.

With just seven games left, the leaders start on 73 points, one ahead of the Reds.

City have dropped five points in their past five games since winning four in a row, but they are still going for a fourth title in five seasons.

The Reds would finish the day top of the table for the first time since October if they won.

The team in second has won seven times in the last eight meetings between the top two teams in the league.

A historic quadruple can still be achieved by the Reds, who have already won the Carabao Cup, as well as City, who are chasing success in the FA Cup and the league.

"There is a lot to go for and for those you need rhythm and you need to keep going," said Reds boss Juergen Klopp.

The top two clubs in the league have scored more than 150 goals this season, with the Reds scoring 77 of them, seven more than City.

"Maybe in the final third they are more powerful for the quality of the players, but from what I see there are many things where we are close."

Gracenote says that victory for City will increase their chance of winning the league. An away win for the Reds will make them favorites with a 68% chance of finishing first.

Kyle Walker is back in contention after serving a European suspension, while Phil Foden could return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench to help his side beat Atleti Madrid in the Champions League.

Foden has scored in each of his past three games against the Reds, and could become just the second player to score in four straight games against the Reds in the competition after Jamie Vardy.

There have been no new injuries reported by Klopp.

'Fourteen-point lead was fake'

Since the start of the season, City andLiverpool are separated by a single point, the same margin that keeps them apart in the table.

City have more points from games than any other team. The title race could be decided if the Reds edge ahead on Sunday.

Three months ago it was very different.

On January 15th, the title looked done and dusted when Kevin de Bruyne scored a goal for City.

It gave them 13 points ahead of their nearest competitors, while the other team was 14 points behind.

The Reds had failed to win any of their previous three top-flight matches after drawing at Spurs, losing atLeicester and drawing against Chelsea.

After blowing a 2-0 lead, the Reds have gone on a 10- match winning run.

City have lost at home to Spurs and away to Crystal Palace.

The 14-point advantage that his side had over the Reds was a fake.

The Football News Show: Man City v Liverpool 'won't decide title'

"I'm going to tell you something: 14 points, it was fake. You were wrong. We played two more games [than Liverpool]," added the City boss.

It was not a mistake. We dropped points after analyzing the games, but we were brilliant. We were not effective, but we were brilliant.

What's at stake?

At the business end of the season, dreams of winning a trophy can be shattered in 90 minutes.

It has never been done before that a club can chase a Fab Four that has never been done before.

They are still going strong in the European competition and will look to seal their place in the semi-finals by finishing off Benfica on Wednesday, after establishing a first-leg advantage in Portugal last week.

The FA Cup semi-finals will be played next Saturday at Wembley, with City andLiverpool playing each other.

The league, FA Cup and League Cup were all won by City.

The players may need to win the European Championship to get the recognition they deserve.

The first leg of the quarter-finals was won by them by a single point, going into Madrid on Wednesday.

People say we have to get proof from outside to be happy inside. That is stupid, and there is no reason to always look for proof of what you are doing.

I agree with people who say that if you want to have this recognition from everyone in the world, you have to conquer Europe.

'Pep is the best coach in the world'

The best record of any of his peers is that of Klopp, who has won nine and drawn four of their 22 encounters in the premier league.

City have lost just one of their past 12 top-flight home matches against the Reds, but they are winless in four games against them.

In their past 11 away games against City, the Reds have not kept a clean sheet.

Guardiola is 'the best coach in the world' - Klopp

When he retires, he won't be sad to see the back of the man.

He said he would not miss it.

I really mean all of the things I say about City. I always wanted to be the coach of the team that could beat the best team in the world, even thoughPep is the best coach in the world.

We have to make sure Sunday is the day because I achieved that as well.
