A total solar eclipse will sweep across North America in two years, plunging tens of millions of people into the stunning darkness known as totality, when the moon passes in front of the sun.

The Great American Total Solar Eclipse took place in the United States and Canada, but this eclipse will take place in Mexico, and it will be seen by even more people. The blockbuster event had a path of totality that went from Oregon to South Carolina, with over 12 million people living there. Kelly Korreck, head of science operations and project manager for the total solar eclipse, said that the path of totality in the U.S. will pass through a region where 31.5 million people live.

The maximum duration of totality will be 4 minutes and 26 seconds in southwest Texas.

The sun, moon and Earth line up on an imaginary line during a solar eclipse. The moon blocks the sun's light, plunging parts of Earth into darkness. During this darkness, the temperature can drop more than 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Korreck said that many animals act like they are at night, with birds roosting and crickets chirping.

The total solar eclipse will make its way to the coast of Mexico on April 8, 2024. It will pass through the Mexican cities of Mazatl, Torre, and Durango before crossing into Texas at 1:27 p.m. There is a time limit of 9:27 a.m. The time is at 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846 888-666-1846

The entire US will see a partial eclipse in which the moon covers the sun.

During totality, people can look at the sky without protective eye gear, but not for partial eclipse viewers. Solar eclipse glasses are different from sunglasses and are necessary for people watching a partial eclipse from outside the path. Solar eclipse viewers can help people see the eclipse safely. The American Academy of Ophthalmology advises against looking directly at a solar eclipse unless you are in complete totality. You can damage your eyes looking directly at the sun.

The Oct. 14, 2023 solar eclipse will pass over North America, as well as Central America and South America. The moon will pass in front of the sun but not completely block its rays, leaving a ring of fire around the moon's edges.

The ring of fire is still very beautiful, even though it is not as dramatic as totality. The moon is farthest from the Earth when the sun and moon line up. You don't get total coverage because of that.

If you don't live in the projected path for the solar eclipse, now is the time to reserve lodgings. The next total solar eclipse to cross over the United States will not happen again until 2045.

Korreck said to get your eclipse now.
