The first fully private space crew has docked with the International Space Station. The group launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday. The journey took 20 hours. The docking sequence was delayed for 45 minutes because the Dragon ran into a video problem before it could start.

The crew members are expected to spend eight days on the space station. They will conduct science experiments, along with outreach and commercial activities. Some scientific samples will be brought back to Earth for NASA.

The company plans to launch several private missions in the coming years. The first commercial module on the space station will house a sports arena and a film studio. The attached film studio module is expected to separate from the International Space Station in 2028.
