The governor of Florida said that there could be a "cold war" if the governor of Georgia is elected.

During a press conference Friday in Gulf County, Florida, while promoting a workforce development event, DeSantis spoke about the race in Georgia, seemingly encouraging Georgia residents to make sure they cost Abrams the election.

He said that if Abrams is elected governor of Georgia, there will be a cold war between Florida and Georgia.

The former Cuban president, who retired in April 2021, was referred to by DeSantis.

In Georgia, Brian Kemp and David Perdue are running for governor. The highly publicized race for governor of Georgia was won by Kemp.

He is running for governor of Florida. He signed into law a bill known as "Don't Say Gay" in March. The bill is a tool for parental rights in schools.
