The 90's are back, baby, and we don't just mean biker shorts, middle parts, and platform shoes! Sorry! You grew up!

Many of the 90s movies hit just right despite being robbed of their rose-colored sheen by revelations about their cast or creators. When budgets were big and the explosions were even bigger, they were made in a time when all movies were meant to be seen in a theater. Here are the best current movies to watch on Prime Video for your next movie night.

1. October Sky

He tests homemade rockets with his friends and 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 800-244-0167 October Sky is a great movie. It is both sincere and emotionally complex. You will be left with a warm, fuzzy feeling, contemplating both your relationship with your father and how to build your own backyard rocket. Laura Dern is a wonderful high school science teacher.

2. Fargo

There aren't many films out there that are popular enough to inspire a TV show, but Fargo is one of them. One of the most memorable roles in Hollywood history, heavily pregnant police chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand) attempts to untangle a messy murder and its links to some hired kidnappers, with things quickly spiralling in the amusingly chaotic way only Coen brothers movies can. William H. Macy is a car dealer, Peter Stormare is a kidnapper, and Steve Buscemi is a criminal.

3. GoldenEye

Bond is sent by M to investigate a weapon but he discovers a spider web close to home. The James Bond franchise had been stalling for a long time, but the first turn of Pierce Brosnan as James Bond gave it a needed breath of fresh air. GoldenEye has all the Bond hallmarks: plot twists, explosions, sadistic villains, beautiful Bond girls, cool gadgets, sexy cars, and Bond's own smooth, unflappable flair.

4. The Long Walk Home

During the 1955 Montgomery bus boycotts, Goldberg is a maid for Thompson. Odessa is not willing to take a bus so she has to walk to and from the Thompson home. Against the wishes of her husband and her neighbors, she offers a ride a few days a week to ease her burden. The Long Walk Home would not have been made today if it had a white narrator telling the story of these two well-developed women from different communities.

The Long Walk Home can be watched on Prime Video.

5. Armageddon

Armageddon is the only movie that captures the rampant American exceptionalism of the 90s. The only people with the skills to save the human race are a group of blue-collar, American off-shore oil drillers led by Bruce Willis. With minimal training and the eyes of the world upon them, they're blasted into space to drill a nuclear bomb into the meteor's core. Not everything goes to plan.

Ben Affleck is hopelessly in love with the daughter of one of Liv Tyler's most famous roles as a young oil driller. Armageddon is a classic Hollywood blockbuster, packed with American flags, a star-laden cast, tons of explosions, and a bunch of wives sitting at home while their husbands become heroes. It's a nostalgic, fun piece of action-packed fluff, and it's an Academy Award nominee! I Don't Want a Miss a Thing was in the running for Best Original Song.

6. The Joy Luck Club

Anyone with a mother should be required to watch The Joy Luck Club. Four Chinese women form a mahjong group in San Francisco. The women in the film share their stories from their lives in China to the modern struggles they are having with their American-born daughters. The Joy Luck Club is a moving film about relationships between mothers and daughters. The kind of movie that requires a box of tissues but leaves you feeling warm and renewed is what it is.

The Joy Luck Club is on Prime Video.

7. The Sixth Sense

If you were born into a world where M. Night Shyamalan had already lost his horror clout, you have definitely made a joke about it.

Haley Osment is a child psychologist who claims to speak to the dead. Some of us have had nightmares about the last 20 years, but The Sixth Sense is as emotionally affecting as it is breathlessly tense. If you haven't seen this smart, sophisticated, and just plain excellent film, it's time to change that.

The Sixth Sense is on Prime Video.

8. Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a family-friendly comedy-drama about a big-hearted but slow-witted man who finds himself involved in some of the major historical events of the last half of the 20th century. Tom Hanks won an Oscar for his portrayal of Forrest, and the film won five more Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture. It launched a popular seafood chain. Gary Sinise, Robin Wright, Mykelti Williamson, and Sally Field all shine in their roles. Forrest Gump is a good-hearted movie that overcomes its sentimentality.

9. Titanic

Kate Winslet is Rose, a young, upper-class Brit aboard the Titanic who finds herself in a romance with the handsome, charming, and penniless Jack. Their class difference isn't the only obstacle they face, as Cal is also on the ship. The world's most famous maritime catastrophe is about to happen.

Titanic is an epic in every sense of the word. The impending doom we know is waiting for the lovers makes the love story even more urgent. When the action hits, it is an incomprehensible disaster seen through the eyes of its human victims. There is a whole lot about Rose in the present as an old woman and the team try to find the ships. No one remembers that part.

You can watch Titanic on Prime Video.

10. Fever Pitch

This British rom-com has a disappointingly low American profile because we went and remake it with Jimmy and Drew. Colin Firth plays a teacher who loves soccer and his team, but his romance with Ruth Gemmell gets in the way of it. Guys and their sports? The kick of watching Mr. Darcy become a likable slob definitely will if the tagline doesn't thrill you.

Prime Video has a show called "Fever Pitch".
