Beth Mead
Beth Mead has scored three hat-tricks in World Cup qualifying for England this season

A year ago, Beth was left out of the Great Britain squad for the Olympics after being snubbed by England's interim boss Hege Riise, now she has scored four goals in a World Cup qualification match and is seemingly making herself undroppable for the home Euros.

England is within touching distance of qualification for the World Cup after her four goals against North Macedonia on Friday.

They have scored at least three goals in three of the four matches they have played.

With the Euros kicking off at Old Trafford on 6 July, the prolific goal scoring form of Mead has put her in a strong position for selection.

I am enjoying my football right now. It has been flowing from me and the team. We are taking opportunities for each other and creating opportunities for ourselves.

It is a dream come true to score for my country and get a win for them. I am here to help the team by playing the best football I can.

The England boss was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium to see the two goals she scored in the win over the title rivals.

In October, she scored a second-half hat-trick to lead Northern Ireland to a 6-3 victory against England at Wembley Stadium.

She has nine assists to her name and has 12 goals to her name after her latest haul against North Macedonia.

She was left out of the England squad a year ago, so could she have imagined scoring back-to-back hat-tricks?

I probably never thought I would score a hat-trick in all of them.

I just said my disappointment in the correct way. It motivates me to do more on and off the pitch. I am enjoying my football and I hope that shows.

I am a confident player. I am a part of the England team. We are creating a lot of chances and I am lucky enough to get on the end of them.

Ian Wright said that she always contributes for club and country because she gets into good positions.

Beth is always going to be in the box. She is a goal threat against any team.

She has been doing that all season for England. She is going to score goals in some of those games. She always contributes.

She is hungry to score goals. She is always committed to her run and she is there to follow in.

'We're playing really good football'

Beth Mead and Ellen White
Beth Mead said England are enjoying themselves during an unbeaten run under Sarina Wiegman

England are yet to lose a game under new manager Wiegman, and that coincides with the impressive performances of Mead.

They have scored 63 goals without reply in World Cup qualification and have won the Arnold Clark Cup.

We are playing really good football. You are only as good as the team in front of you, but we have to break them down and beat them.

The football we are playing is exciting to watch. We have good stuff on and off the pitch. We are all contributing and it is showing.

She said she was "impressed" with how they created opportunities in England's latest victory.

We had to make the game and try to get going. North Macedonia tried to take it out from the beginning.

We scored 10 and that was good. This is what we want, it is a good win. I am impressed with how we scored, it doesn't matter who scores them. The timing of the runs is important and we scored 10.
