  • CNN reported that Donald Trump Jr. sent MarkMeadows ideas to overturn the election.

  • There are multiple paths. The text message was sent on November 5, 2020.

  • The January 6 committee has the messages.

According to a CNN report, Donald Trump Jr., the president's oldest son, sent a message to MarkMeadows, the White House chief of staff, to overturn the 2020 results before most major news networks had called the election.

Two days before the major news networks declared Joe Biden the winner, Trump Jr. wrote in a text message that they have multiple paths.

The House select committee is looking at a lot of records from the Capitol siege.

The message in question was written by Trump Jr., according to his lawyer.

Don received a lot of messages after the election. Alan S. Futerfas told CNN that the message probably came from someone else.

A version of John Eastman's plan to overturn the 2020 election was advanced by Trump Jr.'s texts.

It was suggested that Congress could reject slates of Biden electors at the joint session and instead count those submitted by Trump supporters in seven states that voted for the Democrat.

The certificates were not included in the joint session of Congress to count electoral votes because they were not signed by a government official.

Matthew Seligman, a legal scholar, told Insider in an interview that the fake electors had as much legal sway as a bunch of people sitting in a restaurant and writing on a napkin.

The January 6 select committee and the Department of Justice are looking into the slates of fraudulent electors.

Trump Jr.'s texts mentioned another idea that was to have Congress reject enough slates of electors so that neither Trump nor Biden had a majority of electoral votes, forcing a contingent election where the House of Representatives would.

Republicans control 28 states and Democrats control 22.

We either have a vote we control and win or it gets kicked to Congress in January of 2021, said Trump Jr.

Congress can only vote to re-elect Trump for a second term under existing US election laws.

Trump Jr wrote in a message that they have operational control.

A federal judge in California who ruled against Eastman in his bid to shield records from the January 6 panel also found it more likely than not that Trump committed felony obstruction of Congress in his efforts to overturn the election, and that Trump and Eastman engaged in a conspiracy to obstruct Congress.

The lawyer for Dr. Eastman told CNN that his client disagrees with the judge's findings.

People he thought should be kicked out of the federal government were discussed in Trump Jr.'s texts.

FBI Director Christopher Wray and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, are subject to certain protections as a civil servant and cannot be fired by the president.

The idea of a Special prosecutor for the Biden crime family was rejected by Attorney General Bill Barr.

Congress referred him to the Justice Department for contempt of Congress after he stopped cooperating with the committee and turned over some of his text messages and communications.

The committee obtained texts from the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who urged him not to concede the election and pushed Q-Anon-adjacent conspiracy theories.
