The first private crew to the International Space Station is set to launch today after several delays. Three paying passengers and a NASA astronaut will launch aboard a Crew Dragon, saying they will perform research and not be passive space tourists.

The passengers of Axiom include a former NASA astronaut, an activist investor, and an investor. The three who paid for the voyage were reported to have paid $55 million.

Space tourists can take non-orbital flights, but the 10-day mission goes far beyond that. It is more elaborate than the Inspiration 4 mission that launched a civilian crew into low-Earth space. The crew that trained for the mission was approved by NASA and its international partner agencies.

The mission was supposed to launch on March 30th, but it was pushed back to April 3rd and then April 6th. You will be able to catch the livestream at the website when the launch is moved to today.
