The video of the Windows 95 launch event was found in my algorithm. The full 90-minute keynote has been harder to find because clips from the presentation have been floating around online for decades. The complete presentation is an absolute time capsule of technology culture as it existed on August 24, 1995. Most of the cringe moments stem from Jay Leno's joke-telling.
My face was flushed the entire time I watched this presentation. This is a quintessential event of the 90s, with all of the required hairstyle, khaki pants, and Bill Clinton jokes. The best and worst parts of the Windows 95 launch event are listed here.
