The Russian military can't have something in common with these atrocities and the dead bodies were shown on the streets, Peskov said.

Russia had very serious reasons to believe that the bombing of a maternity hospital in Mariupol was fake.

The Kremlin spokesman referred to Russia's invasion of Ukraine as an "operation" rather than a war. According to the United Nations refugee agency, over four million people have left the country because of the assault on Ukraine.
