Spotify Car Thing gets ‘add to queue’ and call answering features

The ability to respond to phone calls is one of the new features that will be added to the Car Thing system. The $90 device, which went on sale in February, will now allow owners to control other media with voice commands, as well as add songs and podcasts to a queue.

Car Thing users will be able to answer or dismiss incoming calls in the interface. They will be able to switch between media using voice, or tapping its screen.

The new add to queue feature is one of the most-requested features for Car Thing, and you can do it by voice, touch, or prompt. Tell Car Thing what genre or music type you want to listen to and it will create a personalized playlist.

The Car Thing device can be plugged into your car or used to connect your phone to your car via the internet. It needs to stay plugged into your car'susb sockets because it lacks a rechargeable battery.

The features will roll out automatically for users on the Apple platform.
