President Joe Biden believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin should be tried for war crimes.

John Roberts confronted Sen. Tom Cotton over his suggestion that Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson would have defended Nazi war criminals.

Cotton's implication stems from a GOP line of attack that focused on Jackson's time as a public defender. Jackson was a public defender.

She says she did, according to Roberts, who told Cotton on Fox News. This is a matter of due process, and I'm wondering why the link between Judge Jackson and the Nazis was made.

Jackson was assigned four suspected terrorists as a public defender but continued to represent one of them after she moved to private practice. She was blasted for advocating on behalf of her clients.

Right. Roberts asked if it was a bridge too far to link Nuremberg and Nazis.

Cotton said that she was representing foreign terrorists who had committed acts of violence against American citizens.

At the time, the Supreme Court ruled that the U.S. exercised complete jurisdiction over the base and that it was up to the court to decide whether or not to grant the rights.

Jackson explained this during her hearings. She explained that she had represented a client in private practice who she didn't know was a public defender. She said she was asked to work on their case when they realized she had already represented that client.

Cotton said that the last judge to leave the Supreme Court to prosecute the Nazis was Robert Jackson.

Jackson will likely get enough votes to make history as the first Black woman on the Supreme Court by week's end, after days of hearings and interrogation from Republicans over her record.

She was asked to define the word "woman" and be cast as a "pro-pedophile" over her sentencing of defendants in crimes involving images.
